Remove "Solids" folder

Maybe I`m wrong on this one, but so far in three years I`ve worked with AE I never really understood why making Null object, Solid or Adjustment layer creates a folder in Project panel. Those are internal objects like Light, Camera or Shape but creating them doesn`t make them appear in this folder like it`s an external media file.
Is there any upside for this behaviour? Or making this folder “invisible” in a panel would make no difference?
