I've always felt that the project panel within after effects to be very limiting coming from a the perspective of a video editor  As much as I've gotten very used to it, I cant help but feel it could be a lot better since it has barely changed since I first began using the software. I would love to see something more akin to Premiere's project panel in AE, but to me more specific, I'd love to see...

-Scale slider to change the size of the list in the panel and make icons bigger

-Double click to open up a bin in an isolated panel on it's own

-Freeform view for visual organization of assets

-Hovering cursor over certain assets provides a scrubable preview on the thumbnail.

I find the Project Panel in AE very restrictive when compared to Premiere's Project panel. I wish AE had Premiere's bins, different views, etc. It gets very tedious having to double-click dozens of shots to see what's what in AE; the thumbnail preview is nearly always just black, and often too tiny to make out what the file might actually be. It's annoying not being able to open a folder of files in another panel. I'd love to be able to embiggen the list or see icons of files so I can see them without having to open each one and looking through it in the Footage viewer panel.

In short, if Adobe could copy all of Premiere's Project Panel code and paste it into AE, I'd be a very happy man. Good idea, don't you think?

Hey @Kyle Hamrick !

This plugin looks great however I'm looking for something that displays my assets within my project rather than outside of it in my finder/windows explorer. This plugin otherwise has all the design ideas I'm wanting out of a revamped AE Project window!

I'd also love to see all these features!

For the time being, there's a tool named AE Viewer that does help address most of this request. https://aescripts.com/aeviewer/
