Scroll Past End - Vertical & Horizontal

Allow users to scroll past the end of the timeline - vertically. Right now you can only scroll as far as the last layer but if a timeline window is huge its a pain to only look at the bottom of the timeline to adjust your last layers.

Also, allow users to scroll past the beginning and end of the timeline - horizontally. Use negative timecode or different colors to indicate the beginning and end. Especially with character animation, it would be immensely helpful to slide layers past the beginning of the timeline, say 00:00:00:00, but still be able to adjust those keyframes.

Oh boy, this is soooo overdue.

It would also make adjusting comp length way easier. Currently, you have to either open comp settings, or create comps that are too long to begin with, just so you can easily set the desired length afterwards.

Another great idea posted years ago that has yet to be implemented. The majority of AE releases should focus on UI / UX improvements, the current one is supremely outdated and not enjoyable to use for reasons like this.

Great! Kyle, this is related to what I also posted on Sander’s website to go beyond the beginning of a comp to reach keyframes that might be in the “negative” part of the timeline. Like it is possible in C4D.

I posted a video how this could work: https://vimeo.com/140414139
