So I use and animate with rounded rectangle a lot. I animate the size of it, and it always want's to animate the size from the centre. of the shape, where as I'd like to animate the size from a corner. I've been doing a round about way for years with an expression.

but I think there should be a drop down menu where you can choose a corner of keep it in the middle or have it be a free transform.

@sskaz Just noticed this reply, very cool, means I don't have to type in the expression. Although I still hope @jenkmeister17177426  and the team adds my suggestion.

Thanks, that solves it for now, although I still think it's a feature that should be implemented.

I suggest that you create an Animation Preset. I have four of them, one for each corner. All it takes is one click in the Effects and Presets Control panel.

The Lock Anchor Point preset can mostly do what you’re asking for. However, the layer’s apparent position will jump whenever you change the Lock Anchor Point To… effect parameter.

It would be nice if there was a built-in way to dynamically adjust the anchor for the Size parameter (and without jumping!), especially when there are multiple shapes/shape groups in a single shape layer.

Acknowledged and written up for the team to consider.
