Set render quality for composition viewer and renderer separately

It'd be handy to have the option to set the quality of a 3D comp for both the comp viewer and the final output; when working with heavy 3D comps, it'd be nice to see a rough view in the comp viewer, but to know that when I send it to render, AE will use a better quality output. I know "Draft 3D" exists, but this does not seem to make much difference to the redraw speed.

On a similar note, I'd like to see "render only" layers (I've feature-requested this before, a long time ago) which work in the opposite way to "guide layers" - ie. they only show up when rendering, not previewing a comp. This would be handy for things like motion blur, colour grades, etc. which can slow down a redraw, so one turns them off...and has to remember (hopefully) to turn them back on again when rendering.

Hi @hellopaul4

Thank you for the feature requests. This makes a lot of sense. One thing that is new to 24.5 is a better UI for Adaptive Resolution Preferences. Now we give you a scale that Prioritizes Quality on the one hand and Interactivity on the other.
In theory, you could set your render settings for final output, and set your Adaptive Resolution to prioritize interactivity. This clamps the render settings so the output isn't as great, but you can work with greater speed.
You could then toggle the Adaptive Resolution button at the bottom of the Comp Window off when you wanted to catch a glimpse of what your final output will look like. It's the little Lightning Bolt button next to the Resolution Dropdown.
