Shortcut for alignment

it would be great to have it natively rather than creating any plugins for it.

It would also be great to have Align to Key Object from Illustrator as well.

Alignment requires 6 target points for aligning to one layer and another 6 for aligning to Composition Landmarks. And Aligning without Distribution in mind is not going to be useful in the realworld for the vast majority of use-cases. You’re looking at 12 to start off with, for Alignment and we’ve not looked at group alignment which is something performed regularly in the real world.


For Distribution, in the real world, you’re looking at the following variables - 
First Layer
Mid Layer(s)
End Layer
- this requires an input from the user unless you want to default to layer selection

Gap between the layers - this requires an input

Start of Distribution Point/Coordinate - you can define a layer or a coordinate as the starting point and if you use a layer, you have to define which point on the layer will be the start point.

Soon? Doubtful. But it would be great if these were menu commands so we could trigger them via keyboard shortcuts or scripts.
