Text feature of AE is decades behind. No vertical alignment or auto-sizing

I just paid for aftereffects, it's my first time using it.

It's really annoying that even compared to other adobe products, the text feature just lacks in several areas.

There is no option to auto-size text to fit into your textbox, and there is no option to align it vertically, for example, to be at the center of your textbox.

Why do i have to hunt down obscure user expressions from years ago that don't even work, just to have a chance at getting functionality that already exists in other programs?
