Timewarp: Using "smart sharpen" techniques and provided shutter angle, remove/reduce motion blur.

Smart Sharpen in Photoshop proves that motion blur can potentially be at least partially removed, if you know the motion vector and pixel distance of the motion smearing.

The timewarp effect already calculates motion vectors, and the shutter angle would then define how many pixels of motion would be expected to already be in the footage.

Given these two ideas, you could potentially make it possible to remove/reduce motion blur in existing footage. This could either be done to improve clarity of footage, or it could also be used to make slow motion effects much more realistic.

Obviously, results would vary, depending on the quality of the footage and the accuracy of the motion vector calculations, but this could potentially be a really cool effect.

Understandably, such an effect would be slow to render.
