Variable Width Profile From Illustrator to After Effects

Hi Adobe,

Can you please make it so that Ae will recongize variable stoke width profiles from Ai into Ae? Rather than tuing them into compound paths or closed paths. I am creating animations with a specific look and it requires the strokes taper. I don't want cloaws paths as my strokes when I import he Ai file and then do "Right click > Create Shapes from Vector Layer". I need them to remain at strokes.
