Why AE can't have this basic vector shapes import feature?

I've used AE in the past, it's the best software I found to create Logo animations.

However, this software requires 3rd party plug-ins inorder to work smoothly. 

Like importing multiple vector shapes from a logo and animated them, I guess this can't be done smoothly so we need a plug-ing called 'overlord' by Battleaxe. 

I need to know from the developers, why can't they enhance AE to fully support adobe illustrator shapes by using clipboard copy paste?

    So when we gonna see an AE version that fully flexible and compatible with Adobe illustrator?

    We can import anything like custom gradient, mesh objects, symbols, nothing will be loss during important.

    Should work perfect just like AI to PSD  copy paste.

      It's not that we don't want to. It's just a matter of priorities. Improve Illustrator interop is high on the "to do" list so we'll be working on it eventually. Just a lot to do to maintain a 30-year old app and keep it moving forward. We are grateful Overlord was developed to help users in the mean time.
