Bridge should do much better with keywords - e.g. the ability to search, and ideally suggesting keywords based on the image

Suggesting keywords is a legitimate request. The cloud version of Lightroom does this, but the non-cloud Lightroom Classic does not. I think the difference is that Lightroom can use the trained machine learning models on the cloud server to analyze your photos on the cloud.

Bridge and Lightroom Classic are locally based, so if Adobe was to add keyword suggestions to them, they would have to install an AI model locally (on your computer) that could do those suggestions.

That could happen sooner with Lightroom Classic because it already uses some local AI models.

Bridge does not really use much (or any?) AI at this point, so there’s no knowing how long it might take to see a feature that could support keyword suggestions.

If fast, efficient keywords are absolutely critical, look into Lightroom Classic. It has a large set of shortcuts and other metadata tools that Bridge does not have, and my personal opinion is that keywording goes much more quickly and efficiently in Lightroom Classic. Although like I said, it can’t suggest keywords yet either.

Had never noticed this! I can see why keyword suggestions are not possible.

The Keywords Search Box is right at the bottom of your Keywords List in the Keywords Panel.

Keyword suggestions is not possible since Bridge is a file browser and does not “look” at your files.
