Save "view settings" per folder

My view settings are not saved for each folder. If I first set the list view and then switch to thumbnail view in a subfolder and then return to the parent folder, I still see the thumbnail view even though I would like to keep the list view there.

Would it be possible to give users the option in the settings to save the view settings for each folder?

This is the default setting in Windows Explorer. Each folder retains its view settings even if you select a different view setting in another folder.

I would like to have this in Bridge as well.
