I’m having the opposite trouble - all my folders are at the top, but I’d like to have them dispersed among my files. Can’t see a way to toggle this on or off, though it used to be I could just drag files between folders and they’d sit there.
If, in a folder, Jen had three more sub-folders and ten files, she wants the option to have those three sub-folders listed first, then the ten files. It seems her sub-folders and files are all mixed together, when listed A-Z for example. She wants sub-folders A-Z, then files A-Z, I believe.
If relevant, you can choose not to display the folders at all and also you may view all the files simultaneously in all subfolders from any point down in your folder tree. The available options are in the View menu. You can also create custom keyboard shortcuts to do both of these things. I use Shift +F to toggle folders on or off and Shift + S to toggle showing files in subfolders on or off.
