Studio Display
Hello Adobe Bridge Team,
I would like to report a long-standing issue with the Preview Panel in Adobe Bridge 2026 on a Mac with Apple Studio Display (5120x2880 / Retina).
PROBLEM:
The Preview Panel does not scale up images to fill the available panel space. Instead, images are displayed at their native pixel size, resulting in large grey/black borders around the image — even when the image resolution (e.g. 2100px wide) is smaller than the physical display resolution (5120px).
This makes the Preview Panel practically useless on high-resolution Retina displays, as images appear very small regardless of panel size.
Affected features:
• Preview Panel (floating or docked)
• Full Screen Preview via Spacebar (opens on wrong monitor in multi-display setups)
• "Generate Monitor-Size Previews" option in Preferences → Advanced does not reliably fix the issue and resets after every Bridge restart
SETUP:
• Mac with Apple Studio Display (5120x2880)
• Adobe Bridge 2026
• Multi-monitor setup (Studio Display + 2x Dell U2415)
REQUEST:
1. Add an option to scale up images in the Preview Panel to fill the available space (similar to "Fit to Panel")
2. Fix the "Generate Monitor-Size Previews" preference so it persists after restart
3. Allow Full Screen Preview (Spacebar) to open on the monitor where the Preview Panel is located
This issue has been reported by many users since Bridge 2020 and remains unfixed in Bridge 2026. It significantly impacts professional photo review workflows on modern Retina displays.
Thank you for considering this request.
