How can I create a vignette where the centre of the brightest part of the image is not in the centre of the frame?

Would love to see the ability to move the center of the vignette. I have to use a Nik filter plugin to do this now.

Thanks,

Bryan

Maybe I'm not thinking along the same lines. But wouldn't the radial gradient accomplish what you are wanting to do?

The Radial Tool give you the ability to create and off center vignette. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/help/lightroom-radial-filter.html

Hello all -

I am currently working on creating a UI design which attempts to address some of the ideas and discussions you all are having in regards to the post-crop vignette feature in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. During my research, this topic (among others) are helping to inform the future design ideas of the post-crop vignette.

Firstly, I just wanted to thank you all for contributing to the forum and sharing some great information and ideas.

Secondly, I wanted to share my progress with the project. It can be seen on Behance here http://on.be.net/1ADdZAa. At the time of this writing I am exiting the Research/Discovery phase and getting started on the Design Phase. If you have any comments or feedback, I would love to hear it.

Thanks for your time.

That's a cool and flexible way. But if I just want a fast way for a vignette with an arbitrary midpoint by mouse click is very fast.

Why don`t you use the new radial filter in ACR for off-center vignettes?

You're not wrong 😉

You might loose time, but you might be more creative and precise

My favorite tool for creating vignettes - the paint brush (YMMV).

You're not wrong :)
But the highlight-priority can be manually adjusted at least with the radial gradient...

In some ways, the radial gradient is inferior, because it lacks the intelligence of the highlight-priority & color-priority vignettes.

In some ways, radial gradient is superior, because all local adjustments can be employed.
