P: Support additional flavors (non iOS) of HEIC, HIF, HEVC for Import

Because I didn’t want to have to unpack my gear but I guess I have to.  

Why not just take a photo of a blank sheet of paper or a wall, then there's no worries about making it public.

@Rick The photo I am going to send I won't want accessible to the general public. Is there a way I can send the link in a private message or email?

You could upload it to Dropbox and post a link or use Wetransfer.com

Seems like .HIF is just another name for .HEIF

Would you mind sending a sample file we could look at?

Moving to Camera Raw and converting to a feature request. 

Support for HIF is very important, Rick, because every new Canon cam has it.

Important for LR, ACR and PS.

@Rick the file the EOS R5 creates is an *.HIF which is a derivation of the *.HEIF and Lightroom does not recognize it.
