P: Support for Canon .CR3 Camera-matching Profiles

There is currently zero support for .CR3 camera color profiles in Lightroom... especially since the newer Canon cameras use a .CR3 format... making it difficult to get work done. Only slightly surprised that this wasnt planned for beforehand since there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS.

Hi! I have been trying to find for quite some time when Adobe engineers will release a camera matching color profile for the new canon mirrorless cameras, the R5 and R6. I find the Adobe profiles produce pretty horrible color in comparison to the camera matching profiles for the several other Canon cameras that I own (the 1DX2, 1Dx, 5D4). I have tried the color fidelity profiles in the interim, but they aren't that great IMO. They are too similar to the Adobe profiles and don't give that nice, beautiful Canon color we are all used to and love (especially for skin). Adobe, please let me know when those profiles might be available. Honestly, in the meantime, these two mirrorless cameras are a paperweight and I am defaulting to my 1Dx2s.  I am a professional photojournalist and work for pro sports teams, and this feature is pretty crucial to my workflow, and its super frustrating that almost a year later there still isn't a camera matching profile. It's drawing me away from Adobe to Canon's software.

Would be great to have this feature!!!

Eventually I purchased Color Fidelity profiles for EOS R6. They are better than Adobe Standard profiles. But they do not match DPP/camera as well as what LR used to offer for EOS R via camera profiles, which was almost 100% match. Please please please please please bring camera profiles back!!!

This feature request has been marked "Planned" for quite a while, indicating that Adobe is planning on implementing it. But there hasn't been any public indication of when, and Adobe rarely indicates dates ahead of time.

Adobe has indicated that camera matching profiles will not be provided for all Canon models. I don't use a Canon camera. However, I have been made aware of a company that sells camera matching profiles for a number of different cameras including Canon cameras. It has been reported by some that they are quite good. Purchase if you wish, ignore if you like. I am NOT connected with the company in any way. It's just a resource if you are interested.

It's been a year since this became an issue, yet no information is still available.

Anyone knows what is going on wit this?

I am seeing this post from 2 years ago and have just bought an SX70HS.  Is Adobe going to address this "missing functionality?"  Or are they only providing functionality for DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras now?  This wasn't;t the case in years past.

” Support for a particular flavor of a camera’s raw file does not necessarily mean that there will be Camera Matching profiles for that camera at the time of raw file support. It is normal for Camera Matching profiles to follow raw support by one or two releases. In the case of some camera manufacturers or the event of major changes by a particular manufacturer, that time may be greatly increased.

Note: Not all cameras will ever receive a set of Camera Matching profiles. ”
