P: Support for Canon .CR3 Camera-matching Profiles

There is currently zero support for .CR3 camera color profiles in Lightroom... especially since the newer Canon cameras use a .CR3 format... making it difficult to get work done. Only slightly surprised that this wasnt planned for beforehand since there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS.

In that case, thank you very much for your input, I do appreciate it, but I am trying to direct my questions to people who can actually answer them. To the people on the list Andrew has provided, if you do work for adobe could one of you please provide an answer to my question of how I can direct a question towards someone in the development team or if this is even possible?

Do you work for Adobe Andrew?

No. Do you actually want to see who here works for Adobe? Full transparency, you can find any and everyone posting here who does and who doesn't.

See "The Letterboard" upper right? See "View More"? Click on it.

but they are not willing to give us an update on when we can expect them.

Correct. And again, they are under no obligation to do so.

I do not understand why this is not being addressed by Adobe. They have told us it is in progress, but they are not willing to give us an update on when we can expect them. Please can someone from Adobe provide more information.

I think even more people should ask and request. The more the better actually. Seems Adobe are not doing anything unless requests are made over and over again by many people. Maybe that is the real procedure?

Yes, for your sake hopefully they WILL make Imaging profiles for those cameras. However, the only way you will ever know when or if those profiles are created is when/if Lightroom is updated and the profiles are there and it is documented in the update notes. That's been a long-standing procedure with Adobe. So you can keep asking, but there isn't an answer other than, wait and see.

Hey David.

I agree. But hopefully they will make profiles for M6 Mark II, 90D, M200 and RP (+more) first. We have been waiting much longer than you have .

I simply want to know if camera matching profiles for the R5 and R6 are in production and when we can expect to see them in Lightroom.

That question can't be answered. Adobe like many software providers rarely if ever publish such information about future developments.

Thank for your input and opinion James, though this really does not help answer my question. I simply want to know if camera matching profiles for the R5 and R6 are in production and when we can expect to see them in Lightroom.
