P: Support for Canon .CR3 Camera-matching Profiles

There is currently zero support for .CR3 camera color profiles in Lightroom... especially since the newer Canon cameras use a .CR3 format... making it difficult to get work done. Only slightly surprised that this wasnt planned for beforehand since there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS.

I'm guessing that you probably have the Adobe profiles (Adobe color, Adobe landscape, etc.). I do have camera matching profiles for my Nikon cameras, and I have compared them with the Adobe profiles. There is very little difference, and what difference there is can easily be compensated for with these adjustments available in Lightroom. If your camera is two years old and it's probably one of those models that won't get camera matching profiles. But you can create default settings to help compensate as needed. With one of my Nikon cameras that I don't have any more I never used the camera matching profiles. I always found the Adobe profiles more suitable. My personal opinion is that what you are worrying about is rather trivial. But then, it's only my opinion.

The lack of profiles for the 90D is disappointing. It is a very popular model, and has been out for over 2 years, yet cameras that are newer have profiles in Camera Raw and Lightroom and not the 90D. I would like to be able to use your software to its fullest, and there are many thousands of 90D users waiting for Adobe to add us. Please consider and help us create our best. Thank you.

Ok thank you again for your response - I had noted the blue badge but what I am asking for is for more clarification on WHEN we can expect them as a great amount of time has passed with no information updates on this topic at all. I can not understand why this is so difficult a request?

When the information changes, the post will be updated.

As for whether it is planned or not - the blue "Planned" badge at the top is your clue.

Thank you for this Rik, though it has been reposted multiple times since march 2020 and I think we are due a fresh response from Adobe. Can we please be told if they are even being produced and if so when will they be released?

Agreed! When will we see them and can we not have some updates on if they are even being produced?

Is there anyone who works for or with Adobe in this group that can help answer my question? What is the story with the camera matching profiles for Canon R5 and R6? Are they being produced and if so when can we expect to see them released?
