P: Support for Canon .CR3 Camera-matching Profiles

There is currently zero support for .CR3 camera color profiles in Lightroom... especially since the newer Canon cameras use a .CR3 format... making it difficult to get work done. Only slightly surprised that this wasnt planned for beforehand since there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS.

@renaud_julian ah yes, I understand, some little things have to be modified. I tried to use it as a base profile in DNG profile editor, but I failed to get something better 😞

@Etienne_E_Photos sorry it was an answer to @7348725 about Lumariver ^^

I bought colorfidelity profile for my R6... it's better than adobe standard but definitely not as good as I expected.

@renaud_julian it's not a software, just a guy that makes reality-matching color profiles for Lightroom on a quite nice set of cameras. Helped me a lot with the 90D, they looks even better than CaptureOne's which are quite messed up on the orange and yellows.

ACtually I didn't know that software, I'll check it, see if I can have better results !

@andrew_rodney you can try Colorfidelity's profiles. They are quite good in my opinion, at least for my own camera (90D here).

@andrew_rodney well, you're better than me what can I say 😄

Actually, “Super Resolution” and ”Enhance” functionality is far, far more important to me, speaking only for myself, than Camera Matching profiles. So speaking only for myself; kudos to the Product Manager for that priority.

@andrew_rodney I never said "Adobe promised". In the year's lifetime of this message, I've said a couple of times.

"It would be nice"

That's all. And clearly, they are not prioritizing this. I work in software, and there's usually a product manager who makes the call on which features/services are to be prioritized.

In the bad case, they mostly care about getting new customers, not the needs/wants of existing ones.

I did the same, example on page 2 here. But I used DPP to use as an example of the match it uses to preview the “camera matching” JPEG.

There are even better tools, albeit at a cost.

I shot 1 xrite colochecker target with my 5D and another one with my R6 (same lens).
Then I used adobe DNG profile editor and tried to make my R6 file close to my 5D file.
