P: Support for Canon .CR3 Camera-matching Profiles

There is currently zero support for .CR3 camera color profiles in Lightroom... especially since the newer Canon cameras use a .CR3 format... making it difficult to get work done. Only slightly surprised that this wasnt planned for beforehand since there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS.

I tried to do it by myself but I suck at that and the result is definitely not good.

Tried how, using what target and software?

I'm definitely ok to pay someone if he can make me a profile for my R6 that match 5d2 or 5d3 camera standard profile.

And I'm sure i'm not the only one ready to pay for that.

I tried to do it by myself but I suck at that and the result is definitely not good.

No one said they are useless for serious or non serious photographers (whatever that's supposed to imply and assume).

Being lazy is your burden. Would you be willing to pay another to produce a profile(s) for you?

Please tell us when and where Adobe promised camera matching profiles for all supported cameras. Please.

yeah, I know it's sooooooo simple, and the generic Camera matching profiles are basically useless for any serious photographer 😛

- but I am a lazy bastard who wants to take RAW photos for more control during the editing process, that's it.

Some don't care;  what makes a proprietary JPEG rendering desirable to ALL photographers? Again, some don't care. Some simply create their own color matching profiles. Some shoot JPEGs. Some render the image as they wish to express their concept of the scene:

That is sad but true.

I know you can't tell when it will happen, however this was over a year ago.  Funny how newer cameras already have their profiles created, yet nothing on this one.  Can we get an update on whether or not this is going to happen?

Every time there is a CC update, I hope for Adobe Camera Raw to include camera matching profile support for the Canon cameras  -- I've haven't bought an R5 for this reason. I have a EOS R now

13.2 just came out

More cameras, and most of them without matching profiles.

So don't feel bad Canon owners, Adobe's product manager responsible for Raw support does not think photographers use or care about these matching profiles, clearly!

I add my voice to this thread. Here Canon 90D, I'm using ColorFidelity but this is not perfect, far from the original Canon's colors. Using DPP4 for creating DNG or Tiff is a very long and consumes much memory.

Please, do something about this.

@Rikk Can you please give us a status update on this?  It's been well over a year and there is no clear indication that Adobe is even actively working to resolve this, despite the fact that many of the new Canon Cameras are using the .CR3 format.  Please.... it's been far too long on this.  I'm reconsidering my subscription if this is the level of support we can expect on new Cameras.
