for me Ctrl/Command + Left/Right Arrow works perfect because I come from AE and so for me it's consistent and the expected shortcut.

Moving to Previous/Next Frame is currently assigned to the Ctrl/Command + Left/Right Arrow shortcuts, so is consistent with After Effects. It was chosen because if you have a puppet that uses the Walk behavior and you wanted to control its left/right walking interactively, that is controlled via Left/Right Arrow key, so it avoids the conflict with that.

if you don't have any puppets that need that Walk functionality, you can reassign or add the Left/Right Arrow key shortcuts to the Previous Frame and Next Frame commands in the Keyboard Shortcuts editor (Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts, then search for Previous Frame or Next Frame).
