Can you bring Character Animator to the iPad? Even if it is Starter Mode to begin with that would be great, But, the Pro version would be better. Also, being able to import our own characters in Quick Actions in Adobe Express (Animate Characters) would be good too. Thanks!
Hello Adobe Support Team, I hope you are well. I am contacting you regarding an unexpected charge on my account. I signed up for a free trial and cancelled my subscription on January 26, before the trial period ended. However, I was still charged on January 29. Since the subscription was cancelled prior to the billing date, I should not have been charged. Could you please review my account and process a refund for this incorrect charge? Please let me know if you need any additional information from my side. I would appreciate your prompt assistance. Thank you for your help. Kind regards,FatimaFsheykhmohammadi@yahoo.com
Hello, has the development of this application been stopped? We haven't received any updates for a long time and no development has been reported. I hope it hasn't been stopped. We are doing very successful work with this application. And it is a really useful application. We made about 3 thousand minutes of animation with this application and we really saved a lot of time. If Adobe wants, we can send examples of our work.
Dear Adobe Character Animator Team,I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing as a dedicated user of Adobe Character Animator and a content creator focused on animated AI character presentations. While working with the current expression tagging system, I noticed that Character Animator supports only a limited set of emotional states — specifically Neutral, Smile, and Surprised. However, expressions like Laugh, Sad, Angry, Frown, Fear, and others are widely used in storytelling, education, and AI-character driven content.I believe expanding the recognized expression tags in Character Animator would:Allow more expressive and emotionally rich charactersReduce the need for complex workarounds or layer naming tricksGreatly benefit creators working in AI-driven video presentations, games, or educationFor example, even just adding support for:LaughSadAngryFrownFear...would significantly enhance the realism and variety of puppet interactions.I hope this feature request can be considered i
Hi Would it be possible to have a feature that rigs the puppet we create in say Illustrator and when we import it into Starter Mode?
Can you please add a light theme interface so I am not straining my eyes to work in Character Animator? This black/dark theme is particularly a problem in an office with sunlight and is causing my eyes to become sore. Adding this option for a lighter theme or just more control will help my eyes working on Character Animator. Thank you.
If anyone knows a way to do this that already exists, please reply and tell me.
While editing and streaming, performance is very important. For people with lower powered computers, things can become sluggish. It would be great to have a global setting that adjusted settings like resolution of images created (if that speed things up), mesh density (if that speeds things up), and so forth. Then while editing/streaming, the setting can be cranked back to what the computer supports. When doing a media export, the setting can be set back to full resolution where it does not have to be real-time display. (Just go grab a coffee for the final render.) But the setting should be global, not part of the puppets, so people on different computers can adjust for their particular machine. (E.g. I have a cheap laptop and a powerful desktop. I don’t want to have to change all the puppets to move between computers.)
Hey Y'all, I looked for a Motion Library Cheat Sheet on the web but couldn't find one, So, I made one. I will probably redo it once I get a few of these projects out, but for now, I hope it helps you. It has made my life easier. HTTP://www.artwasem.com/Ch-ML.php Art
When my mouth makes a wide smile, opens wide or does a tight pucker, I want the overall shape of my face to deform the patch that the lip sync visemes are animating on, that way the stocatto motion would feels a little bit more emotive. Ideally I'd like to deform the eyes layers in the same way. Essentially use the facial tracking points as a deformation lattice on top of the replacement animation underneath.Possible to get on the roster of future features? it would make the characters a lot more expressive...
My webcam is messed up (very blurry because i put on a tape on it before) I want to suggest if I can use my phone as a webcam. Droidcam is what I use (using USB), I hope Character Animator detects it too although I know that it is not listed in the 'Camera' or 'Imaging devices' in Device Manager. I am really hoping for this to be added.
Hi,Character Animator has many great built-in tools for adding dynamic motion and animations with swap sets, cycle layers, controllers, replays, magnets, etc. But I think it would be really awesome to have a pin or point added on the mesh in record mode that can be tagged as a "null layer" that is attached to the .chproj file or exported to After Effects as a 2D position tracker for adding extra elements in the compositing phase that can be connected to a character or an animated object. This would be valuable in that AE's plethora of built-in and third-party effects can be added to 2D characters with a direct position link of a layer animated in Ch. without having to track or position manually. Also, to not have to pre-render animated effects into image sequences to bring them into Ch.-Andy
I think it would be convenient and useful for the Puppet Maker such that anywhere you can pick a color for something, if we gave a color picker as the final option. People can of course change these details after importing into Photoshop, but it seems like a low-overhead and convenient win to add it right in the Puppet Maker as a default option available.
Adobe Character Animator Please make it Turkish, every language is available now, there is no Turkish. Talk to the manager, have him speak Turkish there are more than 200 million Turks. There is no Turkish in most programs
1.) It would be great if you could use Adobe Firefly in Photoshop to create the different mouth shapes for lip sync based on the artwork you created. 2.) Furthermore, it would be great if you could use Adobe Firefly to generate different head or body turns including all relevant layers of a character animator puppet. It would be grat to upload just the front view of a head or body and let Firefly generate muliple side views including all the layers.
Hi there,I’ve been using Character Animator for some time now, and it’s fantastic for creating engaging animated characters. However, I believe a new feature could greatly enhance the workflow: the ability to add video backgrounds directly within the program. This feature would allow users to integrate reaction videos and other dynamic content easily. For instance, many content creators on YouTube make reaction videos, and having animated characters respond directly in front of the video they are reacting to would create a smoother and faster workflow. Right now, I have to switch between different programs to achieve this, which adds extra time and complexity to my projects. With video backgrounds, you could:React to YouTube videos, trailers, or any other footage while animating a character in real-time.Use live-action footage to interact directly with your animated characters, creating engaging composite scenes.Add dynamic, animated backgrounds that change as your scene evolves without
change background so u can have different backgrounds during stream
Add a (TTS) text to speech program with animated voices that have emotions and personalities. There are two that are viable and the ones that are cost a fortune and they still sound like the voice of someone on lithium. We need this more than ever.
I've had several puppets now where the ability to use an invisible clipping mask like in After Effects or Photoshop would have helped sooooo much. Instead it's impossible to use a clipping mask unless the clipping mask is visible. This works great for eyeballs and faces but is useless for anything else, particularly for puppets that have extra moving parts (like robot/mechanical type of thing). I've tried everything that I could think of as a workaround to trick CA into showing the art while hiding the mask. The closest I could get was using pure black/white masks set to blending modes, but that also sets the artwork to that blending mode as well. Would really love to see this in future versions of CA!!
Swapsets could/should be done in a single layer, similar to the way Visemes are done, if they are included in the same parent object. For instance: if I have a series of shoes for the right foot (pointing inside, middle, and/or outside) that change angles depending on the motion of the puppet, I should be able to slice a single item on the timeline and change said shoe. This will be more efficient, better organized, and give us better control of more advanced animations. The image below could be well organized in two layers rather than 6, and it's only going to grow as I finish this fairly short animation.
I think It would be a good idea to have emotions/expressions triggered to audio input, I use Character Animator for content creation (twitch/youtube) but have camera turned off, since I move around a lot, and I think it would be a good idea/useful for the character to react with facial emotions such as when I scream from being scared to show a scared face or when I laugh show joy or happy or laughing, or when I yell in anger/frustration, to show anger emotion.
The ability to insert or delete frames in the timeline would be hugely beneficial. Currently, the attempt to insert additional dialogue or action in the middle of a scene is rather difficult. It requires all layers beyond the insertion point to be moved manually to make room for the new addition. And, the opposite is true if a portion is not required in the end and, subsequently, deleted. I believe the vast majority of Character Animator users would benefit from such a feature.
I would like to see more flexibility, within the application, to apply various compressor and noise gate settings, through some type of audio mixer, that works with stand alone microphones. Currently there are very limiting options to adjust such settings. I would like to see ratios, thresholds, gains, etc. built-in to the application.
