adobe revolution
I wrote this even before Affinity was born... but the principle is the same and I thank Affinity for making this happen. All Adobe applications have interfaces that may communicate with each other. If Adobe managed a file with the .rev extension (just an example)... a sort of PDF that includes everything: images, links to vectors... videos... we wouldn't need a suite, but a single program with increasing functions. If I join the full plan, my (only) program does all the tasks.
therefore we would have a single program with increasing functionality. Imagine a printout without links.
When I insert the image, it is included in .rev. If I need to process it, I process it in the document with the photo editing functions. why have Premiere and After Effects when the .rev file handles everything?
Again... why have to provide a pdf when the .rev file would contain all kinds of information?
This is what I asked Adobe and this I will continue to ask. When I open Indesign... when I open Illustrator and when I open Photoshop I'm actually laying out... why do I have to have 3 different files? Why Premiere and After Effects? And why do I have to process the logo that I will insert into Premiere in Illustrator? The applications communicate with each other, but they are distinct... I would like them as functions of the single application: Adobe Revolution. And I'm not saying this today, but I wrote it many years ago. For me it doesn't change.
I know it's unpleasant to talk about it here, but Affinity are the only ones who have moved in this direction. Adobe... you are a giant and have provided innovative integrations. All I miss is the revolution.
