Do not download updates on metered connections

Hi,

 

I'd like to keep the Automatically keep Creative Cloud up to date option turned on while, at the same time, preventing my mobile data limit from being exhausted by these updates. Since Windows 8, there is an option to mark some internet connections as metered; typically, when connected to a mobile hotspot.

 

I'd appreciate if you respect this flag and keep/pause downloads of updates through metered connection (unless specifically allowed so).

    I wouldn't call this a "suggestion".  It's a serious product flaw.  If I'm tethered to my phone I often have to stop the update processes in order to do anything online.  And, worse, if I didn't notice the degredation right away, Adobe setup would exhause my complete mobile data allotment.  This is an easy fix.

    I've just noticed that Automatically keep Creative Cloud up to date is only for the app itself - the post above applies to auto-update of Photoshop etc. apps as well. In general, the metered connection flag should be respected on any automatic transfer which might be potentially large. Thanks.
