Improving vertical scroll click&drag selection

Maybe it's just me, but it costs me more than a few nerves each day when I click & drag to select multiple stacked clips on my timeline, only to lose any tracks from the selection that are no longer visible when my timeline vertically scrolls. I tend to have 3-5 video tracks and 2-3 audio tracks visible at a given time on my timeline. However, I often have several more tracks in use on a given project. I don't have the screen real estate to simply have more tracks visible, and I don't want to have to fully shrink my track layers so that they're all visible.

What I'd love to see, if it's on the menu, is the ability to click & drag to select multiple tracks WITHOUT any tracks being lost from the selection when the timeline vertically scrolls. Oddly enough, this doesn't seem to happen when the timeline scrolls horizontally.

Does anyone else experience this? Adobe, can you address this?
