Reconnect shared-for-review to the original file when link breaks

Please add the ability to reconnect the online document with the on-board document when they get disconnected.  They get disconnected quite often. I imagine this would be accomplished by giving the original file an ID number or file path that can be entered in an online field to make the connection, or something to that effect.

Disconnecting causes the client to loose the ability to review Resolved comments. It causes unnecessary friction and frustration in the proofing process that reflects poorly on us.

Adding the ability to connect files to exising links can also offer new functionality by allowing file versions with iterative naming to be shared seemlessly with one link.

if you think that's a cc desktop feature request, you're done.  if you want to make an app request, see the above link.

AFAIK, each application has its own product team and I am not sure if there is also an overall team that manages all applications or not. I agree with kglad that you might want to contact each application and its team.

Some apps still use UserVoice for Ideas and Bugs while many have moved those to the Community forums. You can use this page to see a listing of all of the forums: https://community.adobe.com/ or use the link from kglad which will take you either to UserVoice or to the forums as appropriate.

Your post is in Ideas, so Adobe staff will see it here. They may or may not respond to this thread, but they will see it and track it.

@jane-e
It's a feature request for Creative Cloud documents sent for review from ANY software.  I use Illustrator a lot so, that would be most beneficial to me, but the same issue exists with all the apps that can share review docs on the Creative Cloud.

yes, you've posted in a few of the adobe product forums and it's possible your request would be better made in one those product idea forums, to make suggestisons to adobe, https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

Which Adobe application are you using? We will be happy to move your post to the appropriate forum.
