Request: Include Creative Cloud year in app names

For some reason, the Creative Cloud app doesn't list the full app names by which overwhelming majority of users identify the apps. For example, InDesign 2024, Photoshop 2023 etc.

While I happen to know what InDesign version numbers mean (18, 19, etc.) because I deal with it daily, for the rest of the apps they don't mean anything to me. I have no idea what "Illustrator 27.x" is until I specifically look it up or compare to another listed version to make a conclusion that it's Illustrator 2023.

We just had a user on an InDesign forum who wasted at least an hour because he couldn't find InDesign 2023 recommended on the forum. I can't blame him. Nowhere in the Creative Cloud app is indicated that InDesign 18.x.x is actually InDesign 2023.

So please correct this omission and list the complete app names so users could easily and correctly identify the desired version.

Heartily agree. Seems unncessarily complicated to find a previous version when there is no apparent/intuitive link between version numbers (20.0.1) and vernacular names (InDesign 2025).

Yes! Would be helpful to us if we could see the year as wall as the version number!

@leo.r

I agree and have upvoted your idea. Adobe used to include "CS6", "2020", et cetera, then decided to omit it.

adobe's long had this problem, and other naming problems.  (which doesn't, at all, diminish your point.)
