Selective Syncing Files/Folders

The option to keep certain files or folders synced only online rather than have them saved to the local PC. I have many large design files I don't need to access frequently that take up a lot of storage collectively, but still need to keep for future reference.

well, i don't know if that's true.  and anyone that does know would be subject to an nda.

    That’s like saying “we were going to raise the price to £100 a month for CC but instead we’re just going to remove Photoshop so it’s fine”.

    We’ve had this service for years, and it just gets removed without any real alternative while expecting customers to still pay to same.

    So they’re removing the syncing altogether? It doesn’t look like any real alternative is being provided, if a service is being completely removed will that be reflected in the price?

You can still save your work as cloud docs (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/about-cloud-documents.html)

    well, local and synced is near eol.

    This is the opposite of the problem. I want 90% of my files local and synced, there's 10% that are too big and used too infrequently for it to be worth saving locally, but are still necessary for the future. It'd be good to have a feature that let's you tick to only have certain files online and not on my machine.

    (don't save to your local sync folder. ie, use "save as" and save locally.
