Uncheck 'Hindi digits' by default unless application language uses Devanagari Digits.
There are swathes of posts back to 2018 in the community forum about people getting caught out in Adobe applications where Hindi digits are sprang upon them in new documents; where their application language is set to e.g. English; as well as the ‘English with Arabic Support’ language.
Simply search the community for the phrase ‘hindi digits’ or ‘numbers showing as symbols’ and observe the amount of users caught out.
In most cases, it would make sense to disable Hindi digits by default when the application language used does not these digits at all.
