WHY, in 2024, can't you manage fonts in CC desktop app?

It kicks you out to the web (on your browser). That's just stupid! You can install/uninstall apps in CC, why not fonts? Come on Adobe! You can do better... you can make this happen.

They so badly need to add more management functionality of fonts into the Creative Cloud desktop app. Inability to search for installed/activated fonts (and when you search in the top search bar, it doesn't provide font results!?), quicker actions (it's so damn slow) and ability to open/close all fonts. So many basic things with the fonts in the app that seem logical, but don't exist. Fonts in Creative Cloud app has to be one of the worst software experiences for me.

Hi @davidl33565280

Thanks for your patience. You can check the Creative Cloud Desktop app to view all the installed and activated fonts. To view more Adobe fonts, click on 'Browse more fonts,' which will take you to the https://fonts.adobe.com/ website. Please check the screenshot attached below.

Also, for the quick actions, when exactly do you feel it's slow? Please let us know the version of the Creative Cloud Desktop app you're using. Please ensure the app is updated. Try re-installing the app, and let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Tarun

@rcoda1

Are you using typefaces from Adobe Fonts or others that you have downloaded? (You didn't say.) You can manage Adobe Fonts through Creative Cloud. Other typefaces have always been managed through your OS or an outside third party.

I know that. These are Adobe CC fonts. Sure you can search for them, etc. but it always kicks me out to my browser and you have to install/uninstall them from the web. For instance, go to the CC app. Click on the first graphic they have there "Our newest fonts". It kicks you out to your browser. Just really stupid.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
