I would LOVE to be able to move the panels in Lightroom in the order I use them most!

Many thanks John. Don’t know why I didn’t right click, tried left click and drag. Still all’s well that ends well. I’m stoked.

I think this is what I am looking for.

I cannont get into the Lightroom Ability to move/reorder request from the screen I have found referencing it.

The ability to reset the order of the Develop tasks in the Develop Module, so that when I am doing 10’s even 100’s of edits from a museum I can place Transform as the first one under basic, then move the others as required below this. Right now I lose literally hours scrolling up and down to get past the intervening Tone Curve, Colour Mixer, etc that simply chew up the list scree, even though they are collapsed.

Then as the subject matter of my edits changes I could simply click and drag the items to the features I will be using for them.

@david48lindsay, see here for how to customize the order of Develop panels:

It's a start, but could we have the panels in detachable windows so we can move them off to a second monitor?

Right? I can't believe how long everyone has been complaining about this. What will we complain about now?
