Yup - already used it. 🙂   I see that request was something on the order of 7 years old now...

Thanks for commenting Rikk.

The second paragraph is in my mind a totally different use specific menu where you can chain commands in sequence, drag presets onto it and go a lot farther with automating something things which presets (as doing absolute values, not incremental) don't.  Keypress sequences etc...

Updates to Lightroom Classic CC were released earlier today. Some of the functionality requested in this thread was added.

The ordering of items in the Develop module implemented in 8.1 LR Classic CC is not what I'm talking about in the second part, it's a separate ability.

Tear off (and individually resizable ?) menus so you can put your
sequence of operations one right after the other in some area of your
choice, like a second monitor. Solo mode is nice, hiding things you
don’t need is handy – but putting them somewhere else and in your own
order would be nicer.

Custom menu – where you can drag specific
functions into a shortened set so you’re not popping around the screen
endlessly. Include dragging individual presets there too.

Just a tip: Tell them you want it, don't tell them they are lazybones who could not care less about customers, etcetera. Somehow the latter may not be a real incentive to do something with a request... 🙂

I found this ancient thread but because it's not locked I'm going to join the crowd and state my desire for this functionality. Maybe if Adobe would acknowledge the number of people who took part in this conversation they would add this functionality. It amazes me that even after years and years of "suites" and software bundles, they still can't create a uniform user experience that is the same in all of their products. Why the heck movable panels are available in Premiere and Photoshop but not in Lightroom? Seems it's just an old oversight they are too lazy to fix.

Capture One, the biggest competition to LR, allows the movement of side panels/modules. It would be great to rearrange the panels in develop mode mainly, but all side panels.

So in Develop, we can take Detail and move it up under basic.

Or move the collections above Folders in the Library Panel
