P: Ability to sync Smart Collections with Ecosystem Clients

I would love to be able to share an album publicly but have it only include photos that match a certain filter (like rated >3 stars). As of now, in order to do this I need to make a whole separate album for the photos I want to share and every event needs 2 albums.

Definitely odd Lightroom CC doesn't have smart albums like more powerful software programs such as Apple Photos. Such as how else would you do common things such as show all images from a collection that are rated 5 stars etc. 

Another vote for Lightroom Mobile syncing of smart collections.  Please!

If you're a little bit geeky, you can sync smart collections via a plugin. The plugin is "Smart-Collection Sync" by Jeffrey Friedl. It's free to try and it's donation-ware. I've been using Friedl's plugins for many years; They're well-done and updated regularly. I've paid anywhere from $5 to $20 for the plugins because I want to support his excellent work.

Smart-Collection Sync automatically copies a smart collection (which LR doesn't allow to be synced online)  to a regular collection (which can be synced).  It will also keep that regular collection synced with the smart one. Read all about it here: http://fave.co/2FcBV5A.

Hey Tom ,

Will this feature ever be added?

A typical workflow:
1) I import pictures on LR mobile (iPad Pro) (by the way, the only way to have 1:1 on mobile...
2) Put those pictures into the right collections
3) Pictures get synced onto my desktop
4) Collections have te right names but I still have to rename the folders where the pictures were downloaded.

Why could’t we have the option « same name as origin (mobile) »

Allowing to sync folder would also solve this issue, by the way!

I totally agree with this request! There are so many reasons for syncing smart collections. Here is my main request:
I used to use a quick collection for keeping my « Best Ofs » but copying a picture LR mobile is a slow process (no B key) I therefore decides to switch to a 5 star rating smart collection thinking it would be usable on both platforms. But it’s not

I agree, this is the feature searched when I started to use the mobile app, please it's close to Xmas
