P: add an option to Batch using Photoshop Like Bridge has?

I work on hundreds of pictures at a time and I have been waiting for Lightroom to get this feature for years. It seems like a simple feature that should be added. Especailly since Bridge has had it for as long as I can remember.

I am talking about a BATCH option. I don't mean syncing lightroom edits to other pictures. I mean batching through photoshop using actions. Like on Bridge you would go up to Tools>Photoshop>Batch...

So here is what I am wanting to do. I shoot a lot of people on a solid background and then cut them out to put on another background. I usually set up actions in photoshop to do most of the cutting out and switching out the backgrounds for me. After culling through my pictures I would like to select all of the pictures and click on a button to run batch actions straight from Lightroom.
I've tried doing this using Bridge and Lightroom together but I get tons of metadata errors. They get along as good as fighting siblings. I even have pictures disapper with no trace and no way to find out what happened to them and bring it back. So now I have to open 30 to 40 pictures at a time in photoshop and run the actions. This way works but I REALLY like the way Bridge opens one at a time, does it's thing, saves it and moves to the next picture.

I've searched for work arounds and they always fail. I've tried the droplet method and over half of the pictures processed never run the action.

Can we please push this feature so they will finally add it to lightroom?
Or if there is a way to do it that I have overlooked please let me know.

Oh it's not a bug in the droplet method, it's just not an idea way that works for me. They are way too unreliable. If there are too many files it will just stop running the action. Even simple actions with only three to four steps. It looks like it is trying to run the action on all of the pictures at the same time and the computer runs out of resorces and just gives up. So I think there is always going to be a hardware limitation on how the droplets work.

"That method [PS droplets] does work but after 20 images or so it just starts skipping files."

Please file a separate bug report about this:

That method does work but after 20 images or so it just starts skipping files. Also, I make hundreds of actions and I don't like going to the export actions folder to clean up droplets every so often. It's so messy. The way bridge is set up is so much nicer and the actions run flawless. I am just hoping that this feature is updated in a future version of Lightroom.

We've been able to batch export into Photoshop since version 1. It's even possible to specify the Action you what to run. I suggest  you check it out. If it's not what you require we can move your post to 'the 'Ideas' forum

This video from Julieanne Kost (Adobe) explains the process. It's dated 2016, but the feature hasn't changed much, if at all, since it was first added to Lightroom.
