P: Allow Named People thumbnail photo to be changed

The new facial recognition in Lightroom 6/CC is well done (if sometimes amusingly quirky). One change I'd like to suggest is allowing the Named People thumbnail photo to be chosen from the list of confirmed thumbnails. Lr sometimes picks an unflattering image or one of very low quality. When I see a list of faces in the Named People list I want to see nice looking mugshots. We don't all shoot fashion models!

    That works for Lightroom Desktop (Cloud) but not for Lightroom Classic. I've removed Lightroom Desktop (Cloud) from this feature request.

    But this is possible for a long time already. Just go to "..." on selected photo and choose "set as album cover" or something similar

    amen been looking for answers but none found - soooo annoying! just started with the face recognition but that is really annoying!

      Can't believe why anyone would do a face recognition feature without allowing you to manually specify the thumbnail.

          Agreed. The option of choosing your representative thumbnail is available in other photo software.

            Please add the option to choose the thumbnail of a "person". The latest added foto often isn't representative.

              Concur that the user should be able to choose the image they prefer.

                LR chooses latest picture of the person for the thumbnail photo I think. (not as in latest tagged photo but latest photo according to exif info.) I would rather LR choose largest / front facing picture as thumbnail.

                I just started using LR CC face detection and have to agree. Many of the images for People thumbnails in the ones I've processed so far are quite poor. I think the first one you choose becomes the default image. Not jumping the gun to tag the first recognizable image to find a better one may be a workaround.
