"I wonder if there is a possible date for the release of Lightroom Classic for ARM Snapdragon"

Adobe almost never comments on future plans and release dates. However, the fall release of the entire Lightroom family, including Lightroom Classic 14, is due in a few days, so you might re-check then.

It's not just a classic application. It has way more cataloging features like face detect and maps.

So many things you can't do with Lightroom on the cataloging side that it's just useless to me.

Might as well use something else when the thats one of the biggest difference between it and it's competitors.

Also not sure if Lightroom has any of the enhance/upscale, panorama merge, HDR merge features.

Lightroom Desktop has been able to manage and edit your photos since October 2023. When you click on the ‘Local’ tab in the upper left corner of the UI (see attached screenshot) will give you direct access to your hard drives / NAS. You edit your photos with Lightroom (both photo edits and metadata edits) without first needing to import the photos or sync the photos to the cloud. This will speed up the workflow considerably, especially if you have an Internet connection with limited bandwidth (or no Internet access at all).

Emulation creates an enviroment where you can run unsupported software by faking that you are something else.
3 famous examples come to mind.

  • When Mac changed from intel to their own M-chips, they added emulation so you could run incompatible software.
  • Playstation 3 added emulation for Playstation 2 so you could run Playstation 2 games on it, even though the hardware was completely different.
  • when Microsoft launched their new Windows on ARM machines, they added emulation so you could run unsuported software.
  • another popular emulation is running old hardware that is impossible to get, like an Amiga on raspberry-pis.

I have run plenty of emulated windows apps without problem, but Adobe put a block in for their software, rumor says that only US regions can run the non arm software, like Ligthroom classic on their Arm machines(windows copilot +, windows on snapdragon etc).

It is totally unacceptable that you can install and run LrC in emulation mode on Copilot+ PCs in NA but not the rest of the world. We pay a lot for subscriptions just to be geoblocked from the main application I use.

Maybe try copying the system files from C:/Program Files/Adobe then put it in the same spot on your ARM64 PC. I had a few issues with the previous method last night, and decided to try this instead. I found this method here: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/threads/lrc-on-windows-on-arm.50226/
