P: Support for importing Live Photos (iOS 9, iPhone 6s)

Just got iphone 6s. One new feature is "Live Photos" which while taking a still picture also takes a 3 sec movie. When imported into Apple's Photos app each Live photo becomes 2 files, a movie file and a normal picture file that can be edited. In lightroom the imported Live photo file is only a movie file, which can"t be edited. Can this be changed in a future update so that importing also gives a normal still picture file and a movie file?

I'd love to see support added for live photos.  They really are a fantastic feature for pictures.  Especially if you have young kids.  Google Photos supports them, so it seems to not be locked down to Apple being able to support them only.

I as a beta tester for Photoshop 3.0-5.5 (not CS) and based on my experience and the others who were in a beta testers discussion forum Adobe pretty much ignored the issues and problems we found. After PS 5.5 I quit, it was just too frustrating. Clipping path service

After repeatedly upgrading my catalog from LR6 to LR7, *most* of the green blobs have disappeared, leaving a handful of stubborn ones that just refuse to budge. I tried exporting and reimporting, which is what actually seemed to be the breakthrough in getting it to work during the repeated upgrades, but even that doesn't work.  LivePhoto plays just fine in Finder, but stays green inside LR.

Okay so after talking to support and being told that the green blob issue has been finally solved in Lightroom Classic CC, I took the plunge and upgraded to the subscription plan.  Unfortunately, this information was incorrect - the green blobs are all still there!!  This was my sole reason for upgrading - Classic CC 7.1 doesn't seem to offer much compared to LR6.14, so now this never-ending defect still has not been resolved, and I'll need to contact support in the morning to get the subscription refunded.  Can someone from Adobe please actually give us some clue as to when this ridiculous defect is going to be finally resolved??

Hi Michael/anyone, can you clarify which version of Lightroom has fixed this green blob defect?  I have just upgraded to 6.14, and the green blobs are still there.   Would Lightroom Classic fix this defect?

Dear Adobe,
You do not listen to your customers wishes and you do not fix what is broken. I am not going so subscribe anytime soon, well, never, I am already gone.
Dear developers, good luck, I am sure you are good hearted.
Regards.

Same here, need Classic and Live photos! Don‘t want to use Apple‘s photos app for iPhone (live) photos while paying for Adobe’s Photography plan.
