I think it would be game changing to provide the full Lightroom cloud desktop experience on iPadOS. The new iPads have the same chip as desktop so there should be no reason for the missing features.
Starting out, I love the app on iPhone, iPad and MacBook. Kudos! One thought I have had before: It would be nice if when I try to post a cropped or panoramic photo to discover, but it doesn't fall within the allowed posting dimensions , a guide of some sort would be super helpful. Maybe a "fix to minimum" or a "fix to max" buttons inside the crop section. Or even a temporary red box with a suggested crop dimension that would be accepted. Then I could fit the crop and compose the elements without having to guess wrong so many times before typically just giving up and moving on to another photo. If I'm shooting from my phone I really like the shots I get in pano, but they rarely fit within the allowed dimensions. The prompt does give some reference of the allowed dimensions, but it's kind of difficult to relate that to the photo without a visual aid or assistance. Regardless, thanks for the great app and the opportunity to share my thoughts. CB
Hi all, I'm working on a webshop for a B2B commerce. For that I need to take pictures of about 5000 items, mostly small metalic and platic parts with a white background This means, efficiency is key, image quality is not the most important factor here. I wanted to keep my workflow fast, simple with a consistent set-up and lighting. I did my research and went for Lightroom. It's been great so far. I work with an LED lightbox 700mm x 700mm, a iPhone 13 and a QuadLock tripod. What I love: - Switching back and forth from iOS to Web is amazing. - Manual picture setting - Custom presets - Automagic masking - Watermarks A couple of things that could help me out: - Naming: when exporting images - the option to name your exported file to your image title would be a big plus - Masking on iOS. I feel the 'mask background' on Web LR works best for me. It's not available on iOS... (Not I mask on WebLR and go back to iOS to retouch - or invert in iOS)
It would be great if zooming into a picture on the iPad would work by hitting the space bar, too (like in the desktop versions). Also, if zoomed in and switching to the next picture (right arrow), the zoom level should be preserved. On the desktop, this works, however, the iPad always zooms out.
When trying to load and save files it sure would be nice if Adobe would add the feature to use my local network attached storage device. They've added everything else except Nas support. WTF
I travel a lot and I am often in an area that is with weak or no internet connection. If I could simply connect a tether/cable from Laptop to iPad it would significantly help my situation and workflow. Currently my work flow involves a lot of back doors and work arounds in order to work between multiple devices.
Having targeted adjustment for the tone curve just like other versions of Lightroom available on mobile will be great. Just clicking and adjusting tone curve by picking on the image will make for faster editing.
I would like to request Lightroom CC(esp. on iPad) to have the function which is existed in Lightroom Classic to group the different type of image(Raw and jpeg) with the same file name in single display, so that we can has fast preview and filter the one we don't wanna keep. iPad is fast and easy for photographers to preview and screen the photos after we take the photos. However, the Lightroom CC on iPad cannot really help on my workflow.
Hello. I'd like a way to set photos as protected- no editing to the image ot its metadata allowed. Is this possible?
I'm loving being able to import into mobile directly from memory card. Presently, the grid for the import screen can be reverse pinched to change from small thumbnails to larger ones, enabling better selections of which files to bring in. It's possible while doing this to reverse pinch (zoom in) more, showing a 1 to 1 image that allows culling/selection during import, but that only works while you hold your fingers on the screen. Please allow import grid photos to scale to full screen images so that only desired flaw files need to be transferred to mobile device and copied to the cloud. This will enhance the import process; reduce copying time for raw files (less images = faster total transfer time); and improve the user experience by enabling 1 to 1 pixel previews while raw files are still plugged into camera or card reader, and not require their re-download from the cloud.
Add a content-aware crop function. Photoshop on the iPad does not work, let there be a little more functions in the lightroom on the iPad. A plastic brush will also be convenient. Photoshop on an iPad is a complete failure. Make the most frequent tools from Photoshop for computers into a lightroom for iPad. Tools that are available in applications for free use. Increase the amount of memory in the lightroom web and mobile devices from 40 GB to at least 100 GB. Since frequently used raw files weigh a lot. Add the ability to select files by jpg type. Sorting and searching will be easier.
개선 부탁드립니다, {Moved from Bugs to Ideas by Moderator} Thank you for the enhancement request to improve LR iOS Keyboard Shortcuts!
It is important and imperative for Lightroom to make sure that when we disable all options such as sharing metadata or jpeg etc. in the settings of sharing an album, they also make the capture date information part removable. When I currently share an album, clients can see date and time of when photos were taken. That is an invasion of privacy that I can not remove. This is happening in all Lightroom available.
It would be nice if Adobe had a Legacy Contact option as Apple does, just in case something bad happens and a close person still can have access to my work.
Students are using lab computers with shared Adobe license. Previously, they can use Lightroom. Teachers prefer Lightroom as it is cloud-based. It won't take up too much space on the computer. No Lightroom is not available for shared license. It's not very convenient for a school environment. Pls consider to put it back to shared license. Thank you.
In Lightroom CC there is no possibility to display the super 35 focal range in the EXIF data, which indicates that I shot filigrane in crop mode. That's super annoying because then I always have to export the image and import it in an other software.
I want to use LrM to access my extensive collection of keyworded photos for species ID while in the field. The region I live in has very poor and often ZERO cellular service. I synced dozens of collections to my phone, only to find that, even with all the collections set to "store locally," I cannot search keywords unless online. The filter option is mind-numbingly useless since I have thousands of keywords and the filter doesn't let you narrow down the search, just scroll, scroll, scroll. I need to be able to quickly find a photo using keywords created in LrC, while offline in LrM. Is there any hope for this? Or do I need to go back to exporting collections and using F-stop to EASILY find my photos? Thanks
Please Please Please put a delete button directly at the top or in the side editing panel instead of the multiple steps that are needed to delete a photo and even then you still need to confirm.
I want to switch to the original image so that there is no degradation in image quality when enlarging the thumbnail.I want to view multiple pictures in their original state without deterioration in quality. And I want to be able to view all photos by folder ipados
Hey Adobe, In our line of work, we require shared albums to allow images to be commented on by various orginization leaders, so that it allows us to know who belongs to which group and who needs to be removed. When the other orginizations comment who needs to be removed from the shared album, we easily can remove the images from the shared album but lose the comment. This makes it challenging to review previeous work if not documented seperatly. Is there a way we can add a "Comment History" to the images in Lightroom, reguardless if they we removed from a previously shared album? If so that would be great. Let us know what you think and well talk soon. Thanks in advance!
Hello, I'd like to see automatic organization of photos on the cloud, maybe similar to 'moments' on Apple Photo- sort of automatically identified albums. Similarly, for us non-professionals, it would be great to see 'on this day' photos, and in general more ways to view out existing catalog, I have maybe 200k photos, and it's easy to forget about something I'd taken a decade ago,
Lightroom CC seems not to have the full screen mode that Classic has. It'd be great to include it here - especially for quick editing on laptop which don't have the same screen real estate as a desktop workstation might! Shift+F is so useful in Classic, please include it in Lightroom CC!
The current (08-2017) build on Lr Mobile places the tools on the right' for left handed people especially when using a iPad Pro and the iPencil, this causes serious functionality issues, as using the sliders etc means the left hand is over the image...it would be great if the location of the tools could be moved back to the bottom (prefered) or be selectable (left or right side)
