Feature Requests

I always have my iPhone with me and ding that I'm capturing some great shots. The issue I have with its native camera is you can't shoot in RAW. I like that Lightroom now had a RAW camera feature. I would like to request an icon shortcut to the RAW camera. Maybe a widget. Thank you for your consideration
It would be useful to assign an album the photo about to be taken with Lightroom mobile app is saved to. This setting could be set as a default on app level so it is set automatically when user takes a photo with Lr app. Obviously user should be able to change it at that point as well
Add tethered support to the Lightroom Desktop product
Subject: Custom Background Options in LightroomHi Adobe Team,Please consider adding the ability to customize the background in Lightroom, including the option to upload a custom image. This would improve presentation and allow photographers to better match their visual identity.Best, Anders
I want a mask that removes dark circles and makes my face look prettier.
Please add the auto mask feature for LR Mobile. Also please add color swap as well for IR.
On the desktop version, when we select to store an album locally (for offline access), it always downloads the full resolution images. My understanding is that the same feature on mobile only downloads the “smart preview” versions of the photos. I would like to have an option, either in the settings or when downloading an album, to select if I want the full-size files or the smart previews. There are two options I’m asking for this: I mostly use this when travelling. Having all the full resolution photos takes unnecessary spaces. When I travel with a less powerful devices, having full resolution photos slows down Lightroom a lot and uses an unnecessary amount of resources to process the images.
I really miss the ability to pick 1-2-3 similar photos from a shoot and compare them during my editing process to pick the beset one of the three. Please bring that back to this version.
The Info panel on my iPad version of Lr Mobile has plenty of blank space on it. Please use some of that empty space to display any Location data associated with each image. Even better would be the ability to add/edit Location info on the iPad. This would save time and trouble and make the iPad version more like the version I see on my laptop. What is baffling is that my iPad Pro has an M1 processor that is more than capable of handling the minuscule extra data that is displayed—so why are you handcuffing the Mobile version?
I would like to suggest adding a leg selection mask, similar to existing subject and skin detection tools, to allow targeted adjustments
hello! I recently added a custom camera profile to test out some settings in Lightroom CC. But now I want to delete that profile, is there a way to do so?
I can't find a specific feature request that exists for this (there is a discussion thread here, but it is marked as "solved" with a link to a totally unrelated feature). I often want to share a photo from my library in Slack, imessages, e-mail, etc., and the easiest workflow on Mac these days for most apps is to be able to copy (cmd-C) the image and paste it into the other app. Dragging the photo to the other app is a nice alternative (though one I use less often). For desktop lightroom, the best solution seems to be one of: 1. * export photo * drag the photo from Finder to the app of your choice * delete the photo when done 2. * cmd-ctrl-4 (for cropped screengrab) and drag the rectangle to match the edges of the photo as best you can * paste poorly compressed photo into app of your choice (I just did it on a photo covering less than half my screen, and it resulted in a 25.4 MB file) Surely it wouldn't be that hard to integrate Lightroom into the copy-
Years and months are ordered in opposite directions on in the hierarchical date view. This is broken. Here's what happens if you do an interval selection between 2024 and 2023, you get the non-interval (non-contiguous) selection consisting of Jan23, Feb23, Nov24, and Dec24 Please fix.
Couldn’t find this feature, but I think its a pretty simple and easy feature that they can add to the sorting menu in the albums. Typically when you share a cloud album so multiple people can see and edit, it would be nice to be able to sort by people. So you can seperate who sent what etc. It would also be nice to be able to filter out people. Thanks. let me know if its already possible. should at least be more easily accessable if so... :)
I would love to be able to create smart albums (aka smart collections) in the all-new Lightroom CC. Basically, a folder that contains a set of photos based on metadata information and updates automatically. The feature set should ideally contain all the options that exist in Lightroom Classic for smart collections. Thanks!
It would be great if you could share smart albums the same way you share normal albums. I shoot sports events and when go through the shots I tag them with the club of the athletes and then set up smart albums to populate photos based on keywords. The problem is I can't then share these albums and have to take a static copy of the photos and add them to normal album which I then share. This is not ideal as the normal album is a static snapshot in time where these events go over 3 days so as I tag more shots I need to repopulate the static album from the smart album. It would make much more sense if smart albums could just be shared (please please please)
Just like I can share a link to a static Lightroom Album, I would like to share a web link to a Smart Album. Currently there is no way to do so.
Add virtual copy feature from desktop app to mobile
Currently, if you try to share a photo to the community that has been denoised or upscaled with Lightroom’s AI denoiser or upscaler, it gives you an error and says that it is not yet supported. Seems like a pretty easy thing to add support for it, but I could be wrong.
Native FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) Filter for Pattern, Texture, and Moiré RemovalI am writing to address a critical, long-standing gap in Lightroom’s toolset that has remained unresolved for decades: the lack of a native FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) filter. As a photo restorer and long-time Creative Cloud user, I frequently work with archives where physical paper textures—such as "silk," "honeycomb," or linen finishes—create repetitive patterns that severely degrade scan quality. While Lightroom has made incredible leaps with AI-powered Denoise and Generative Remove, these tools still struggle to distinguish between high-frequency noise and the structural, mathematical patterns of paper textures and digital moiré.The Problem: Currently, to remove periodic patterns or heavy moiré interference, we are forced to export files to Photoshop and rely on outdated, third-party 8-bit plugins or complex manual workflows. The current "Moiré" slider in Lightroom is often insufficient for deep textu
In Lightroom Mobile I desperately need a proper camera profile management option, that allows for hiding and deleting of entire profile groups. In my editing workflow I rely heavily on custom profiles (not to be confused with presests) and over time I imported quite a lot of them - most of which I do not use anymore. Now in Lightroom CC Desktop (not to be confused with Lightroom Classic) one can only (but at least) hide profile groups. Even if I prefered an option to delete an entire group at once as well - going through hundreds or even thousands of individual profiles deleting them via right-click isn't really an option for me - this allows me to only show the profile groups I use on a regular basis and keep my workflow simple. In Lightoom Mobile on the other hand, there is no way to hide or delete entire profile groups (yet alone single profiles) and neither is the information about which profiles are beeing hidden in Lightroom CC Desktop beeing synch
At the moment the panel on both Lr and LrC is basic and lacks functionality that users would expect in today's world. Renaming, manual organization, and overall refinement. With the rise of LUTs and profiles like https://lumenaryvision.com/ this is badly needed - especially for users who use both LRs on multiple devices and/or create their own profiles using Color Checker cards. Users cannot currently delete these or ensure they’re shared properly between apps.
I need a specific aspect ratio for my photos. And the lack of a way to input that ratio into the iPad version of Lightroom is a HUGE hassle. Can we please have a way to use numbers to create the perfect aspect ratio when cropping?
Just like you can add rulers and grids via the view settings in illustrator and Premiere Pro, I’d like this to be added in Lightroom Cloud too. It’s really helpful when having to retouch commercial products and such for use on websites. Please & Thx
I am so tired of adobe not listening to what we want. And I’m even more tired of adobe not implementing the most basic functionality. PLEASE let us input aspect ratios with numbers! This can’t possibly be too much to ask.Been paying for years and years and still have to put up with lack of features that already exist in Classic and this one is a small one too. It feels bad, Adobe.
