P: Ability to copy/sync settings/adjustments across a group of photos

It seems that I am unable to copy or sync adjustments to multiple images in the new LRCC? I just imported/uploaded my first job with over 1200 RAW files, and need to set my base contrast/saturation/sharpening to all the RAW files before I begin my select edits. For some reason my "paste edit settings" is greyed out when I have multiple images selected. I'm assuming this may be some sort of user error on my part, there is no way a professional photo editing tool would not allow the use of base settings applied to a group of photos. However even when I go back to "add photos", there is no option to apply a preset on import like in the old Lightroom? Adobe please help! LRCC is obviously useless to me if I have to Ctrl/Copy Ctrl/Paste 1200 times a day... Thank you,

It has been pointed out that LrCC is not an upgrade or successor to LrCCC. I don't know how to state that more plainly. It is a new product with a feature set based around a mobile workflow. Just like the original Lightroom, the new product will evolve with the input and opinions of the Lightroom community. This feature is under consideration based on it's popularity and may make it into a future release. Keep in mind, however, that it is one of many popular requests that need to be considered.

Additions of new features also depend on how that change affects other aspects of the software so your particular, favorite feature may take longer to make it's way into a public release than you would like but with a little time and patience the popular features are usually implemented.

I agree with Victor. I shoot theater and live events which means jobs are usually around 3000 images that need to be sorted into 150. After a quick cull in Classic I like sorting the final 300 or so images on an iPad because it is easy, fast, and convenient. I still need to use Classic for the export options it offers but CC has become a valuable part of my workflow.

Carlos, I use CC because it’s unimaginably fast on mobile devices such as the iPad, which in turn I use because I like living a simple life without having to think about maintaining a desktop/laptop PC.

> Why anyone would use LR CC and not LR Classic is beyond my understanding

I'm going to confuse you then... I know both inside and out, and I use CC for everything on my laptop, and for a lot of things on my desktop. I do still drop back to Classic for some tasks, but that list is shrinking by the day.  The fuss-free access on multiple devices is valuable, even though I know all the geeky workarounds for multi-device use in Classic.

Why anyone would use LR CC and not LR Classic is beyond my understanding ( unless you are a workgroup, with different people doing different jobs, but the Editor STILL on Classic)!

The loss of the ability to select all / apply all is honestly THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OF LIGHTROOM. I'll be staying with Classic.

I bet it’s because it’s likely impossible to port Lr Classic to mobile devices, and a huge number of photographers (professional or not) started to prefer them in their workflow. And in the long term, feature parity between all platforms is a sound long term decision. If Adobe’s intentions are indeed pure, we just happen to be in the unlucky time period when this transition happens.

Philip, some of us do our photography completely on the road, travel light and only carry around an iPad because we prefer it to laptops. “Professional” or “working photographer” can mean much more nowadays.

I have no clue what Adobe is trying to accomplish with CC. Give Classic the same flexibility as CC and dumb down CC or just merge the programs. Adobe is great but why make two almost identical programs and leave key features out of both. It’s frustrating. Please add a sync or previous feature to CC.
