For better editing and comparison I think a "create a virtual copy" option would be very nice.

Please - when are you going to implement virtual copies or even a duplicate image option in the mobile iOS version of LR. This is essential functionality and workarounds are a pain.

I’ve seen this feature requested over and over on different forums for literally years and its still not there.

Doesn’t anyone at Adobe take note of what is posted on these boards?

Thanks

I'm also in agreement with the above, being able to see each version as a "separate" file has its advantages...be it so you don't have to keep overwriting previous versions if you're only making a small change, or if you need to export a bunch of versions quickly. At least for now, however, swapping between versions and exporting doesn't take *that* long.

One of my big issues (that I haven't seen discussed yet) is that only the latest "version" syncs with Lightroom Classic. I could be wrong, but as far as I can tell, you can't access other versions within the program. As a mostly-pc user (who genuinely hates the mobile-inspired Lightroom CC), not being able to have multiple versions on my phone show up on my computer is...annoying.

Agreed!! We need virtual copies to be able to export all at once.

@Rikk

This is not the same feature as a “virtual copy”... The different “Versions” don’t get exported!

This is yet another super-super simple feature that doesn’t (for some weird reason only Adobe knows) get added to LR-mobile... Why?

I find myself doing all kinds of backflips and workaround to use LR-mobile. So frustrating for such an expensive subscription...

It is called Versions in this version of Lightroom.  It is more like Snapshots than Virtual Copies.

I don't know about the iPad version of the app specifically...but on my android version of Lightroom Mobile, the feature is named "Versions" instead of "snapshots" or "virtual copies". Mine's on the right-most side of the tools menu.

If it's not showing up on yours, is it possible you haven't updated the app in a while?

Hey Rikk, has this been implemented? If so, where would I find the copy feature?

So the very top of this post says “implemented”. I am still unable to find the duplicate or create virtual copy feature using Lr Mobile on my iPad Pro. Anyone find a fix for this yet?

I use both Lightroom Classic and Mobile. The versions feature in Mobile doesn’t translate well to Classic because you have to dig through the history to access the previous version. So I would love to have the ability to create virtual copies in Mobile and/or have versions translate better to Classic. Thanks!
