P: Ability to Drag and drop files from the OS to import

Please add the ability to drag and drop files from the desktop to import them into Lightroom CC. Sometimes I start by looking at files in my file browser and have to go back through Lightroom to find them, which is very inconvenient.

Actually you can, but only when it's not an empty album and you view it in grid mode. If it's empty then you can't, which I believe is the most needed situation you wanna drag new photos in. So ridiculous, like there's no testing worker in the Adobe team before launching this "new" feature

Hey Adobe, it's almost 2020. And we still don't have drag and drop import options.
I check my photos in my windows first and then I just want to be able to drag my selection to Lightroom. It works in Lightroom Classic so why not in CC?

Yes, then I found you can't drag & drop into a newly created empty album lol, no matter photo/square grid mode it is by default, this is so hilarious

What is your development team actually doing on mondays.....
You are annoying all users on a daily basis. Drag and drop is inside muscle memory for pretty much every basic computer user on this planet. Add this basic ( no brainer ) functionality asap.

I can't believe this still hasn't been implemented. Come on Adobe!!! It's so basic that we shouldn't even need to be asking for it (for over 2 years, nonetheless). I get that you guys have a monopoly on creative software (at the moment), but at least do something with all the money you're sucking out of us every month...?

Dear Adobe developers. Drag & drop was invented in the 70s, so please step up your game! If you need help just call Jef Raskin and Bill Atkinson.

Thanks for the explanation. I never paid much attention to the Web and Mobile apps, assuming they were scaled-down versions of the Desktop app with minimal functionality and didn't realize they were so far along on features. It actually looks like Adobe is doing a pretty good job giving us a lot functionality across all of the platforms, not just Desktop. Nice!
