P: Ability to Drag and drop files from the OS to import

When you consider that the Web app and the various Mobile apps were all released several years before the Desktop app, and all on different platforms (and there are 4 different versions of the Mobile app), it's perhaps not so surprising that full feature convergence hasn't yet been achieved. There are other functions, such as album custom ordering, which still cannot be done on the LrDesktop app but can be done in all the other client apps (with LrWeb being the standout system for me). Whilst it remains an Adobe objective, they also have to balance the need for continuous new feature development against the work required to attain full convergence.

Speaking personally, I'm generally OK if the things I need to do can be done in at least one of the cloud ecosystem client apps, provided that we get to see new or improved features at each update. So far I've not been at all disappointed at the rate of progress, but like everyone else I have my own "wish-list" of things I'd like to see.

The issue is that this thread is about the cloud-centric version of Lightroom Desktop, not Classic.

What is the issue? I am able to drag the files from OS File Explorer on Windows 10 to the LR Classic icon on my Desktop, and files do import

While waiting for this functionality to be added to LrDesktop, why not use the LrWeb app? That does support drag and drop.

Put this on the top of the list!

Please add this ability to drag-drop files from the OS File Explorer/Finder into Lightroom CC! It is so frustrating to navigate my Windows File Explorer to find the pics I want to import and then have to do it again in Lightroom to import them! 

Also, add drag and drop on iOS, please. Most other, much smaller apps support it.

This is so annoying. Lightroom make Drag and Drop function. grrr

9 months later and stil basic response from a solftware developer about this issue? It's sitll isn't fixed.

Importing/dragging files to Lightroom should work. period.
