P: Ability to"Open as layers in photoshop"

The only thing I'm missing in Lightroom CC is opening photos as layers in photoshop

I want to get in Lightroom CC button which I could choose "Open as layers" in photoshop. I really don't like Lightroom Classic, and think CC version is much better, but it's not completely finished.

At this moment this's most missing function for me.

Greetings all,

Updates for Adobe Photography products are released.   The December updates have implemented this feature request.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

Please implement the same feature in Lr CC as it was (is?) in Lr Classic.

We're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Lightroom Classic has all the features yes; I've been reusing it lately for printing and... it's WAY slower on my M1 Max 16GB than my iPad Pro M1 8GB.
Switching between pictures while in develop mode takes bewteen 5s and 10s on my side, while staring at a black screen in between, or the previous image.
I tried even creating an empty catalog, creating all previews: no change.
I have no idea at what point it became so laggy, as I don't remember it being that way in 2018, with a way slower laptop.

And the user interface feels terribly dated.

Lightroom on the other hand feels fresh and modern, and very fast but.. it's really hard to understand the astonishing number of features that are missing from it, compared to Classic.

And the iPad version is even worse.

Adding a comment to keep this thread active.  Could Adobe give an indication of whether "open as layers in photoshop" is on your Dev roadmap please?  The current workflow options (workarounds) are really inefficient.

Yes I'm doing that. But the thing is Lightroom Classic got stuck with the interface from 15 years ago. Software need to evolve in new ways to interact with users. Photoshop did that. But in the case of Lightroom, Adobe made a new app that let local storage users outside. I use this for my work and I have Teras of photos I can't use Adobe cloud because I like to control how this information is stored. Like many photographers. But I woud like to use the new interface of Lightroom. I like that the software I use change to adapt new ways to interact.

So people that want "Open as layers in Photoshop" feature please vote in the firts post.

Because is so slow and laggy. I just moved from LR cc to classic and is really slow,  but I don't  want the cloud subscription..

Also LR cc works with local files now but collections and albums are only for cloud files.

"Now that Lightroom can work with local files now is the time."

If it is so important to people to be working with local files- Why don't they use Lightroom-Classic? With all the features they want! (except for 1TB storage- an 'extra' add-on.)

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Yes please!!! Now that Lightroom can work with local files now is the time. Please add this feature and all the other features of Lightroom Classic that make that software professional. Is time to fix the Lightroom strange situation.
