P: Ability to"Open as layers in photoshop"

The only thing I'm missing in Lightroom CC is opening photos as layers in photoshop

I want to get in Lightroom CC button which I could choose "Open as layers" in photoshop. I really don't like Lightroom Classic, and think CC version is much better, but it's not completely finished.

At this moment this's most missing function for me.

Really hoping this comes soon.  Workflow is really inefficient without it.  It would be great if Adobe could at least tell us paying customers whether they are working on it and provide an indication of rollout timescales.

O way, just started doing photography last year (with Lightroom CC) and most of the guides and tutorials refers to features that are missing on the CC version, but only exist on the ol'Classic one.

Hi There

Requesting that it be considered to add "Open as Layers in Photoshop" (already in Lightroom Classic) but for both Lightroom CC and Lightroom Mobile.

This would be an incredibly useful feature especially for Landscape / Seascape Photographers wishing to blend / mask a number of Long Exposure Photographs.

Currently the only workaround is to create a shared folder and drag all of the required images into it and then open one by one as layers in Photoshop (Desktop or iPad)

This feature (along with Auto Align Layers in Photoshop on the iPad) would make for a complete mobile workflow.

Thanks in advance
Glyn

Currently in Lightroom your options TBMK are to select multiple photos and [Edit in Photoshop] [Ctrl+Shift+E], which will 'open' the images as separate documents in Ps then drag & drop the individual documents onto one for stacking. Or- [EXPORT] the files and use the [Place] menu to stack the individual documents into one open document to achieve a 'layered' document'.

Maybe in a future release of Lr will you have  [Open as Layers].

Super is frusterating that feature is only available on iin light room classic. As someone who recently started photography and jumped on lightroom (cloud based) bandwagon without even knowing there was another version. I just want to do some focus stacking which seem common place for macro and landscape photography.

I am interested in learning how to do some Focus stacking on both Macro and Landscape.

I have the Cloud subscription of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

Is this possible with this version of the software ?

Thanks

"to do some Focus stacking"  No. You would need PHOTOSHOP v23.1 for that.

Available in the PHOTOGRAPHY PLAN (20GB)

Total (abuse removed by moderator) that lightroom cloud version is missing the "open as layers in photoshop", did Adobe suddenly decide that photographers don't need focus stacking? Total crap

In your Creative Cloud Desktop app (at least in Windows, I don't know if you're on Mac and if there's anything different about it), you should be able to find Lightroom Classic (LrC on the icon).

*louis_lebail I've spent 2 days trying to figure out how to do this thing that I saw in a tutorial, and just discovered that people were complaining about not being able to do this 9 months ago...I don't even know how to get a different version of Lightroom, but it sounds like everything I'm wanting to do I don't actually have the ability to do with the program I'm paying for.  Very frustrating.
