P: Ability to"Open as layers in photoshop"

Agree, this needs to be done! Would also be nice to do focus stacking inside Lightroom CC. They have HDR merge why not focus stack.

Thanks I can't see any edit-in sub menu option for this in Lightroom CC on my MacBook Pro; There is an export to Photoshop but this is greyed out for multiple images?

You can already do this.  There is a Open as Layers option at the bottom of the Edit-IN sub menu.   It remains gray(unselectable) unless you select multiple images in Lightroom

It would be great to have an export photos from Lightroom CC to layers in Photoshop to allow easy focus stacking; Alternative focus stacking directly in Lightroom CC would be great.

Another problem is that the new Lightroom users who have never used Lightroom CC don't even know what kind of a lifesaver it is. When I do use stacking it's almost always more than 20 files, often upwards of 50. It's extremely sub-optimal to open all of them as files in Photoshop as opposed to opening directly as layers.

Yeah... and now, 7 months later, still not.

This is the only feature keeping me from switching from Lightroom Classic to the clodu based one.
