Where has the secondary monitor feature gone ?
I'm just starting to use the cloud version after completing migration (which took a long time). How many more basic features will be missing?

Greetings all,

Updates for Adobe Photography products are released. The February updates have implemented this feature request.

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for being so patient.

Does Lightroom CC have a built-in option for dual-screen editing?

Hey there.

I'd love to have the Lightroom Classic function "Secondary Display" for the cloud-based Lightroom. It would benefit me greatly since I often use my iPad in reference mode as a secondary monitor to double check how it looks on different screens. The function Lightroom Classic provides makes this easy, but I store my pictures in the Adobe Cloud and therefore have no need for Lightroom Classic (esp. since the cloud-based Lightroom now has add-in / plugin support).

Would the addition of this feature be possible in a future release? I'd certainly be a happy camper!

Thanks in advance

Yannick

Having switched from Classic to Cloud, I miss having the use of my second monitor - please add support.

Hi!
Are dual / second display function on the road map for Lightroom (cloud based)
It would be great to have this for grid view and app on screen number one, and then for example preview of image on second display, during culling.

If dual monitor mode isn't supported on the computer version, I don't know where else would be the better place for this feature. Adobe just doesn't seem to realize that people can use more than one monitor at a time.

I am using Lightroom version: 7.0 arm64 (Sep 28 2023) running on a Macbook.

I am a former user of Lightroom Classic (v6 and former).

I was used to have ligthroom on one screen and to edit my picture on another screen (using the (1) and (2) screen option above the strip bar at the bottom of the screen).

With Ligthroom in the Cloud I have been unable to find this option back ... only the option to display my screen in Monitor (1) or Monitor (2) but no option to work with 2 screens (2 monitors).

Can you confirm if this beautiful fonctionnality has gone away from Ligthroom in the Cloud ?

And so any idea if we can mix subscriptions in which we could have Lightroom in the Cloud but also Ligthroom Classic application ?

Thanks all,

While Lightroom Classic supports a secondary display, Lightroom (cloud) does not.

And yes, you can use both, but it's tricky, because if you enable sync in Lightroom Classic, then all your images currently in the cloud will migrate to your local hard drive, as they will be downloaded by LrC, and LrC will only sync Smart Previews back to the cloud. So you'll own the responsibility of managing and backing up all the original images.

Thanks Michael, it's what I suspected ;-( .

Please add a feature to Lightroom where you can work across dual monitors.  It is very disappointing not to have this feature in the cloud-based program.

I would like to have the same second screen option in CC as in Lightroom Classic
