P: Assign People tags to pictures that were missed

No you cannot add people with a facial region.

You can add them via keywords so they show up in searches. But the facial region would not be attached to it.

I have many photos where facial recognition has not picked up a person (canded etc) - And it appears in CC you can not manually add a person tag like you can in classic. Is there a way to do this?

It is very difficult to believe that such a long time has passed, and the very basics are still not there. This is true for manual face detection, for smart albums (currently useless), search with and-or, map view...

I am guessing that Hell will freeze over before any useful features are added or restored to LR.  Manual face tagging, allowing combinations of sidebar to be visible etc.  Half the time I am pleased that I migrated to LR CC and the other half  I consider it the biggest mistake I made.

Nope. That feature is still not available.

I've searched everywhere, and I can't find a current answer that says whether we can do the simple task of manually adding faces in Lightroom 8.4. I've found answers from years ago saying we can't do that "yet". It's definitely the 'yet' time five+ years later. Please tell me they've added the ability to manually add faces (something Classic and Apple Photos has allowed for years and years), and it's just buried in some features nest in the app. 

Sadly, I find LR CC very useful but the lack of manually adding faces, inability to have tags and info sidebars on the same sidebar irks me more than somewhat. 
it would so wonderful if they could fight their way to the top of the wishlist. 

The lack of ability to manually assign people to photos is the single reason why I won't switch to Lightroom cloud.

Still no ability to tag people that aren't autodetected. Really disappointing that such basic functionality hasn't existed for so many years.

Just signed up for Lightroom CC. I am also extrememly dissapointed with the People recognition. The ability to manually assign People to a photo is a priority feature in my opinion.  Why offer spmething that doesn't work properly, Adobe?
