I really miss the ability to pick 1-2-3 similar photos from a shoot and compare them during my editing process to pick the beset one of the three.

Please bring that back to this version.

    Is there anyway to compare photos in lightroom? (not lightroom classic) According to what information i could find there isn't, but i want to make sure because it seems like a pretty major feature that seems like a no brainer to include. 

     

    If there isn't, are there any plans whatsoever to include it anytime soon..? This one simple missing feature will make or break me migrating  to cloud based lightroom.

    No there currently isn't you're correct.

    Lightroom the cloud based app does not have that option.  Lightroom Classic, the file based app. Has always had that option.  Not all of the features found in Lightroom Classic will make it to Lightroom (cloudy) due to the limitations of all of the mobile platforms that need to be supported. Some Lightroom Classic features have gradually worked their way into Lightroom (cloudy) when the functionality of those mobile platforms can be developed.

    I can't believe that there is no way to compare two photos side by side on the latest version of Lightroom. It's a basic fonction. 

    Can you explain me why and is there an alternative way to do this (Lightroom Classic let appart).

    Adobe did not “get rid” of it. Lightroom (desktop) is a new application, and this option is simply not implemented (yet). It only exists in Lightroom Classic.

    I have never seen it in the Cloudy version, and it is still there in Classic.

    Literally makes no sense to get rid of this feature in lightroom.....please bring it back

    That's not a feature of Lightroom Desktop at this time, so you might want to add your vote to this feature request: Lightroom Desktop: Compare Photos and Survey Mode

    I am working a project that required side by side comparison of images in Lightroom 4.2. To my surprise this opposition is only available in CC not in the latest version. I don't want or need two version on system. Is there a work around a plus in or an update?
